Utah Trip

This last weekend Jorden's cousin got married in Utah. We woke up early on Saturday morning so we could squeeze all the activities into one day. When we got to Salt Lake we ate lunch at Hiers. Then we hit up Hogle Zoo before the reception. It was a perfect day with perfect weather, but because of that it brought out A LOT of people! It was very, very crowded. So crowded that Jorden had to park the car 25 miles aways. Luckily he was kind enough to drop Krew and me off at the front gates...I know! I have a good husband!

Krew soon ditched the stroller and decided he could see much better on Dad's shoulders.

As soon as we saw the elephants and then the tigers Krew yelled, "Monsters!!" It was pretty darn cute. I didn't get a lot of pictures because my camera's battery was in and out of dying :(

Sitting on Jorden's shoulders didn't last long. Krew just couldn't wait to get to the next animals.

As we were about to buy tickets to ride the carousel, a nice man came up and gave us an extra ticket. Krew was pretty excited to get on. But as soon as I tried to set him on the buffalo he freaked out. He finally gave in and sat down when he saw the little boy next to him riding a monkey. Sorry this picture is blurry. My camera can't capture things in motion.

It was right after this point that my camera fully died. Krew also peed all the way through his diaper onto his pants. I guess he drank waaayyy too much root beer at Hiers! Being the responsible parents we are, we forgot all his diapers in the car. So we decided to head out. But hey look at the bright side! At least Krew wasn't on Jorden's shoulders when his diaper gave out! In all we were only at the zoo for about 2 hours. Hopefully next year when Krew is a little older and potty trained we can go again, maybe on a Monday when it's not so crowded!
