We had been trying to get Krew prepared for Christmas for several weeks before Christmas Day. We tried to teach him about Santa Clause and show him pictures. We asked him everyday, "Krew, what sound does Santa make?" We then tell him, "Ho! Ho! Ho!" Krew kinda caught on. When we asked him what sound Santa makes Krew would answer, "Ho!" Every time Santa popped into Krew's head Krew would say, "Where'd Ho go? Where'd Ho go?" over and over and over again. (Krew always asks when things went or "Where'd they go?" it's his favorite phrase.)It was pretty funny but not something I wanted him yelling in the middle of Wal-Mart. People might get the wrong idea!
On Christmas Eve Jorden and I took Krew to his first movie in a movie theater. We went to Alpha and Omega at The Paramount (the cheap seats) It was about 2 wolves who got moved by forest rangers to a forest in Idaho, then they fell in love. Krew really liked it and did so good!
Krew & Mom at the Movie. That night we went over to Grandma & Grandpa Backman's house. We played some fun games and had a cookie decorating contest. Krew was a little excited about the cookies!
He did a lot more eating then decorating.
Dad's finished product. We all thought he was disgusting for using Capn' Crunch on his cookie but it turned out very decorative, using them as trees and a fence. Very creative!!
Krew's cookie. He had a little help writting his name.
Christmas morning was so much fun! Krew was old enough this year to get excited about his presents and not just by the wrapping paper.
Stocking first!
Of course his favorite thing was the chocolate.
I wonder where he gets that from?!
Krew has loved his basketball hoop. He yells, "bball! bball!" whenever he wants to play. Krew also runs to our closet to get Jorden's biking helmet (which he also calls bball) whenever he wants to shoot hoops. We think he sees the football players on TV with helmets on and he thinks every sport should have helmets.
After Krew opened all his presents we went over to Grandma & Grandpa Backman's house to talk to Chet & Blake. Jorden's brothers who are both on missions. They both sounded so good and so mature! We are now counting down to March 24th when Chet comes home!
Krew was excited to find this at their house! (The dogs were pretty interested too!) He did not want to get out of this. He even ate his breakfast in there!
He loved to drive Mickey Mouse around.
Krew also got this Cabela's camo tent. He loves it! He curls up with his sleeping bag and flashlight and says, "Nigh, Night!" It's his own little fort!
I love Krew's ho (ho ho) story and his needing a helmet to play bball! And I love his little unhappy face in the hat picture. It looks like Christmas was lots of fun--wish we could have been there to see for ourselves!
