It was time for the annual Jones family reunion. My parents booked this beautiful cabin in Colorado for the end of June.
It was absolutely perfect for our big group.
With breathtaking views.
This was our room. Krew and Myla were so excited about the bunk bed and begged for one of their own.
The basement had these awesome massage chairs. But if you wanted a turn you'd have a long line to wait in.
Myla loved catching up with cousin Nora.
And Krew catching up with Caden.
One day we went to a nearby lake to eat some lunch and play in the water. Sadly, it was so cold that day.
Jorden and Myla chilling in the grass.
while the older kids played on the big rocks.
until lunch was ready.
Colorado is so beautiful!
The cold weather didn't deter the kids away from playing in the water.
Except for maybe Myla. She was nervous at first
But she finally got more comfortable. The kids were busy making their own lake.
My paparazzi mom is really good about taking pictures!
Krew got really brave and went in the water.
It made me shiver just looking at him!
Koen trying out a lime while the kids played in the water. He's so cute!
We decided to rent some pedal boats.
It was so fun. Especially at the beginning.
But after a few minutes it was so exhausting. I felt like I ran a marathon by the end of it!
So we'd take lots of breaks.
Back that the cabin.
The men played horse shoes and the kids played on the playground. It was so nice to have both activities available all week!
The next day, we went to Winter Park. We took the tram over, which was a ride in itself for some of us!
Winter Park is home to the world's longest Alpine Slide. It was definitely a highlight on our trip! Myla and I taking the ski lift up to the top.
With Jorden and Krew behind us.
Ready to go down the Alpine Slide!
Me in front followed by Krew and Grandma.
Just a little excited!

Krew trying out the trampoline.
He was doing flips in no time.
Then onto the climbing wall
This one made him a bit nervous but he still climbed about half way up.
No day is complete without ice cream!
Myla, Krew, and Grandpa playing the hand-on-top game while we waited.
No Ashley, I didn't give Nora any ice cream!
Scott and Kelsey brought this bounce house and it was a total hit with the kids!
Giving the littlest kids a turn.
Taking a stroll around the long driveway.
Scott, Kelsey, and Jordan pulling Koen and Myla.
Myla wasn't quite sure what to do with Koen being so snugly.
It was pretty hilarious.
Brinlee and Myla enjoying some s'mores. Expect Myla only goes for the chocolate.
Krew roasting a marshmallow to perfection.
My awesome parents!
Jorden roasting a marshmallow for me. What a sweetheart!
The kids were back and forth from s'mores to the swings.
One of Myla's favorite places to be!
Love this family of mine!
Another breathtaking view that night.
On one of the days we went on a hike.
Myla started out so tired but surprisingly made it the whole hike without falling asleep.
Cousin Jordan was so kind to carry her for a lot of the way.
Oh hi Ken!
Some of the kids in front of a beautiful backdrop.
Ken spotted this moose out in the distance. If you look closely you can see him.
Silly Myla was pretty much done with the hike by the time we got to the top.
Krew fell and needed a bandaid but was a good sport about it.
Mom and me. The background looks like a postcard.
Some of the boys exploring.
The top of the hike was so worth it!
My Dad and me.
Please don't get any closer, Jorden!
The whole group.
The next day we took some family pictures. It's hard to get a group this big to all look and smile at the same time, but we did pretty well!
It wouldn't be a Jones photo shoot without a silly picture!
The grandkids' picture is always a difficult one!
Luckily their parents were better behaved.
Ashley snapped a few of just my family.
Why is it so hard for Jorden to not crack a joke?! (That's why I love him!)
This picture is a joke by the way.
I'd say I hit the jackpot with this family of mine.
All too fast it was time to go. One last night to chit chat before we left early in the morning.

That was a super family reunion! Can't beat the scenery. I love the Backman family pictures at the end!
