Krew Turns 6!

Krew's 6th birthday celebrations started first thing in the morning with his choice of breakfast. He didn't hesitate to pick pancakes. I love how simple things make his day; like seeing balloons at his seat when he woke up.

We've decided that we'll do "friend birthday" (where he can invite friends over for a party) every other year. This year was not that year and the whole day before his birthday which was Saturday, was spent as a family doing whatever Krew wanted. I secretly love non-friend birthdays so much more.
Krew decided to go to Boondocks and it did not disappoint. We started with laser tag, boys against girls. Sadly, the boys won. But in my defense, Myla was so nervous that she made me hold her the whole time.

Jorden and Krew trying to sneak up on us, little did they know we were sneaking up on them!

Next up was bumper boats.
Sounds like a fun time but there was a squirt gun attached to the boat so you could spray other boats.
Krew and Jorden thought that was pretty awesome.
Myla and Mom, not so much.
Next up, We headed to Toys R Us so Krew could spend his money sent from Great Grandma Backman. He was so into wrestlers this year. It didn't surprise me one bit that he picked this wrestling ring and wrestlers.

The next day on Sunday was his actual birthday.
I love this boy so much!

That night we had cake and ice cream. Krew picked this cool TMNT cake.

No girlfriends this year (and hopefully not for another 20 years).
Handsome kid!

Next up was presents. Krew had an awesome little helper.

Thanking Myla for the game "Kerplunk".
Myla felt like this belt was made for her and wouldn't take it off.

What a lucky kid! Krew has so many people that love him.

Now it was time for Krew to show us what those wrestlers do in real life. Jorden was a willing participant to get beat up on.
 Dog pile!

Happy birthday Krew! We are so proud of the person you are becoming. You are full of energy and excitement and are so kind to everyone you meet.
We love you!
