Way back in June my parents paid a visit to Utah. I always love when they come visit, but I always feel like it's never long enough! Krew wasted no time showing Grandpa his favorite toys.
and throwing things back and forth to each other on the stairs. Grandma and Grandpa always bring a little toy for each of them. The lamb Myla is holding is from them and it quickly became her favorite toy, and still is. She won't sleep without it.
We didn't waste any time, and headed to the Dinosaur Museum at Thanksgiving Point. Krew is pretty obsessed with dinosaurs and knew most of them by name.
Myla wasn't quite as excited as Krew was. At least at first.
Then she warmed up and would give me her photo ready smile.
We started in the paleontologist room where the kids looked at fossils with Grandpa

Krew has said for a long time that he wants to be a paleontologist and this definitely sparked that interest even more.
They had a lot of fun kid-friendly activities. Both Krew and Myla loved the sand and water, where you could make mountains and streams.
But this part of the museum was definitely their favorite. They would organize the bones to make a dinosaur.
Krew rearranged bone pieces for a solid hour.
Myla was a great little helper.
"Mom, can I get an Apatosaurus for my birthday?" Ya buddy, we have plenty of room for one of those!
Myla loved these little tunnels that were all over the place. They were good for hiding from the scary dinosaurs.
Myla is going through a phase where she likes to stand on her head all the time. At the museum she was doing it every couple of feet. That's a good way to NOT get through the museum quickly!
But she is a cute little stinker!
As we exited the museum we saw this Army jeep.
Krew then debated whether he wanted to be a paleontologist or an "Army guy".
After the museum we hit up one of our favorites, Zupas!
The next day we headed to the Curiosity Museum. This place was a blast and the kids honestly could have spent all day there.
They loved these rabbits who would tell you what food you were putting in their mouth.
Myla was pretty mesmerized by this kid's dryer.
I wish I loved laundry this much!
Meanwhile, Krew made gigantic bubbles with this cool bubble maker.
Krew showed us his magic "floating head" trick. Pretty tricky!
Seeing how many grasshoppers they are (the bottom number)
personally I'd rather have one Myla,
and one Krew, than that many grasshoppers.
They played vet for a while.
and checked out the local jail.
It was hard to capture on camera but they stepped right into a tornado.
Krew thought it was cool, Myla kinda panicked.
Once again, anything with water was pretty much their favorite.
This was a simulator of hurricane like winds. It pretty much blew my hair off.
Krew loves Legos at home so it was no surprise he headed straight to the giant Legos.
Then built himself a giant house.
Making parachutes and sending them straight up to the ceiling.
Up, up, and away!
What a fun way to start the day!
When Jorden got off work we headed up to Bridal Veil Falls.
Grandpa bought us fish food so we could feed the fish.
Then we hiked up the falls a little ways.

All too soon it was time to say goodbye.
