Krew Turns 5!

It's hard to believe Krew turned 5 on May 3rd. He was so excited, to say the least!
Bringing treats to school was one major highlight.
Treats of choice: dirt cups. Oh Yum!

Krew is so easy to shop for, he left hints all over the house. He told me these were the good guys,
and he just needed some bad guys so they could fight.

He could play for hours lining up and re-lining up his toys.

We decided to just do a family birthday this year. We went to Jump On It and Krew was beyond excited!

Jorden spent some time teaching Krew how to bounce on his bum.

While Blake scared everyone with how high he swung Megan on the rope.
I'm surprised she lived to tell about it!
Myla had a blast running around on the trampolines, until a bigger kid would come along and bounce her off. She was safer with Dad

 or Aunt Chelsea.

 Dodge ball!!

All the "grown ups" having sprint races across the tramps.

And some flips!

It was nearly impossible to peel Myla away from the video games. Even though no money was used to actually play.

Krew took a few turns pretending to drive. I'm so glad I have many years to prepare myself for the real thing!

 One happy but

exhausted little boy!

We were all a little hungry from all those calories we jumped off, so we headed to Texas Roadhouse where Krew got to sit on a saddle, get sung to, and

get some ice cream. Does it get better than that?! I think not! Krew talked about this for days.

We then headed home for cake, ice cream, and of course presents.

He had a dinosaur themed birthday.

He loved his cake and requested the volcano, which was pure frosting. Talk about a sugar high!

 Make a wish!

Myla was a little confused when we started singing Happy Birthday in our scary best singing voices!

Even Patty got in on the celebration!

Present time! Krew was a tad bit spoiled by family. It's definitely time to clean out that play room of old toys!

Grandpa Backman bought Krew a Hello Kitty notebook (an ongoing joke between the two of them). Myla quickly took off with it, and Krew was quite ok with that! Krew returned the favor to Grandpa and sent it back to him for his birthday :)

One of his favorite gifts, from Uncle Blake and Aunt Megan.

Getting ready for T-ball!

Of course he got a few dinosaurs at his dinosaur birthday.

Myla, the present thief.
 But a cute present thief!

And no party is complete without Krew's favorite pastime. Wrestling!

In order for Krew to pass onto 5-years-old he had to go through the spankin' tunnel. Kind of a rite of passage thing.

A Grandpa sandwich.

Enjoying the goods!

Krew and Myla agreed that it was one fun day!
