We had one awesome Easter weekend! It all started on Saturday when we went to the Thautphaus Park Easter Egg hunt. Here is Krew ready to go with his Lightening McQueen bucket!
Isn't he looking so grown up? He is so tall and so handsome :)
Waiting for the Easter egg hunt to start!
Showing me his empty bucket that he is hoping will be full soon!
With Dad!
And Mom!
They had an area for ages 3 and under roped off. The announcer kept saying, "Okay, remember this is for the kids. No parents allowed in the roped off area when the horn goes off." As soon as the horn went off you'd never believe it but almost all the parents went in to help their kids. In fact, there was a wall of parents that Krew couldn't get through in order to get some eggs. So being the kind, well-mannered person that I am, I shoved our way through and set Krew in the middle of all the eggs. If you can't beat 'em, join 'em! Right?! Krew ended up with about 8 eggs. He had a great time but I'm not sure we'd go back again just because it was so crowded!
That night we headed over to Grandma and Grandpa Backman's house where they had an Easter egg hunt ready for Krew. No competition here! Just Krew and the eggs.
A little bit excited to start looking for eggs!
He searched high and low and I was actually really surprised at well he did finding those, hidden-really-well-ones.
He walked by this new golf club a couple of times. I think he had a focus of looking just for eggs!
He was pretty excited when he realized it was for him.
The swing!
Showing Dad all the cool eggs he found.
Afterwards we went inside and dyed some eggs! He had so much fun and did much better at setting them into the dye instead of throwing them in like last year!
Uncle Chet made a cool Batman egg for Krew. (The far blue one).
On Sunday morning when Jorden and I were getting ready for church, we hear Krew start yelling from the front room. "There's eggs outside! There's eggs outside! The Easter Bunny came!!" He didn't even hesitate and ran over to his bucket, dumped out the contents from the night before, and headed out the door. We still have no idea who our secret Easter bunny was but we are so grateful for this little act of kindness. To say Krew was excited would be the understatement of the century!
After church it was pretty nice outside, so we did our Easter egg hunt for Krew (Yes this makes 4 Easter egg hunts!)
Giggling with excitement :)
Wow! What a handsome little man!
Me and my cutie pie!
