I have to admit, it is going to be difficult to have a child with a birthday so close to Christmas! We got back from Disneyland the day before Myla's birthday and of course Christmas was just two days away. So I felt totally unprepared for her birthday. Good thing she is only one and didn't know the difference. Plus I think celebrating your birthday at Disneyland is probably the best way EVER to celebrate!
Of course Myla didn't like her party hat.
So we tried the Disneyland hat again and that didn't work. Again.
When we brought out her cake she knew just what to do and dove right in!
But she still didn't love the feeling of cake on her hands!
At one year old Myla,
- Had been walking for about a week
- Had 4 teeth
- Eats anything and everything
- Is the Queen of mess-making and can unload an entire kitchen in just minutes.
- Loves to tease her brother by kicking, hitting, or throwing toys at him
- but loves him to death! She screams or smiles every time she sees him.
- Love to chase Harvey. She gets in big trouble for this one!
- Falls asleep really fast but wakes up around 5:30 regardless of what time she goes to sleep.
- Loves her pacifier. This is going to be a hard one to break!
- Does headstands constantly.
- Loves to cuddle.
- Does not let very many people hold her, or look at her for that matter. She loves people she knows but if she doesn't know you or know you that well, you don't stand a chance. It's awfully embarrassing!
- She loves to snuggle.
- Is so stubborn but oh so sweet!
We love you Myla! Happy first birthday!!
She's adorable. It seems like yesterday she was born. It's time for me to come down so she can cry when I look at her again.
ReplyDeleteShe is so big and so beautiful! I can't believe she's already one too. Disneyland would be the best place to have your birthday. We can't wait to see you guys thus summer!
