One of my kids' favorite thing to do it go to Hogle Zoo. We bought a pass last year and went up as often as we could.
This year they opened up the part of the Africa Savanna Exhibit. Right now it just holds the lions, and it is one of my kids' favorite part. They sat and stared at this lioness for a full hour.
And finally, the lioness stared back. And for a really long time! She may have been dreaming of her next meal.
Krew loves these lions almost as much.
Next up was the gorillas.
They love to see how they measure up to a gorilla in size.
Myla liked looking at the gorillas, until they started to move towards her and then she would cry and hide.
As you can see she was slowing going more and more behind the wall. Right after this, she came running into my arms.

Krew's absolute favorite part is the giraffes. Sadly, they were making exhibit repairs the day we went. Just another good excuse to go back soon!
